However, it is worth noting that some models, such as model-year 2011, don’t offer a manual transmission.

Cadillac CTS

The Cadillac CTS can handle daily commutes as well as tight corners, and it’s well within reach; even 2014 models are available under $40k. Most come with a six speed automatic transmission and the standard V6 engine, however if you need more power you should be able to find a V8 with upgraded suspension still for under $40,000.
