This 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 in “green with envy” paint pays tribute to many of Dodge’s 1970’s muscle cars. Most fun of all, it really takes us back to when American muscle meant something. With a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 producing 470 horsepower and 470 ft-lb of torque, and a 6-speed manual transmission, you’ll think you’ve stepped into a time machine and bought the car of your dreams! Zero to 60 times come quick… like 4.5 seconds quick.
Under the 2011 Challenger’s hood, plastic panels over the rocker covers scream the 392 moniker. While you’re poking around, you might notice that the intake rams are now plastic, too, instead of painted aluminum, as on the old 6.1. The plastic intake is a two-stage plenum with air flaps that effectively vary the intake ram length based on engine speed. In the block, the camshaft timing is now variable, stretching out the duration of the intake-valve opening for better cylinder filling. It really makes this engine breathe, and that’s rather important at this altitude.
Our shop recently inspected this fine Dodge Challenger and gave it a clean bill of health. It only needed a fresh oil service and new tires. It is well optioned and should sell quickly as it has the Boston Acoustics stereo system with Kicker sub, leather seats, power sunroof and navigation system. A clean Carfax report is included. Stop in and check out this fine American muscle car today. You’ll be glad you did. Weston Auto Gallery offers many great financing choices for all your credit needs.
